• Find an offer and arrange an exchange – You have three options:
• Simultaneous exchange – both parties host each other at the same time.
• Non-simultaneous exchange for points – someone stays at your home now, and you collect points that you can use to stay at others’ places later.
• Stay in exchange for help – you can live at someone’s place in return for pet care, gardening, or assistance with daily chores.
• Travel and exchange – Discover the world by staying in real homes, without accommodation costs and with benefits for both sides.

No, you don’t need to own a home to use SWAPP. You can participate in the platform even without having your own property. All you need is an agreement with someone who allows you to use their home under specific terms.

This could be in exchange for a small favor, like pet sitting or helping with household tasks. It’s up to you and the owner to decide how to arrange it. You can also book stays using tokens — either by purchasing them through the platform or earning them by offering services or supporting the community in various ways.

Yes, absolutely. Every user who wishes to participate in a home exchange must go through a verification process before making a reservation. This includes identity confirmation via government-issued ID and a live selfie check — ensuring the person is who they claim to be.

Our system is designed to prevent identity fraud and detect inconsistencies, providing you with peace of mind when sharing your home. While no system is entirely immune to misuse, SWAPP prioritizes security by carefully vetting both hosts and guests to create a safe and trusted environment for everyone.

Yes, every exchange arranged through the SWAPP platform includes a basic insurance package, details of which can be found in our Terms & Conditions. This civil liability insurance applies to both the host and the guest, and is designed to cover basic damages up to a specified amount.

What kind of damages are covered? The policy includes protection against damage to items left in the home — such as electronics, televisions, kitchen appliances, furniture, and other household equipment or accessories.

To ensure coverage, the home must be documented with accurate photos prior to the exchange, along with estimated values of key items.

For those looking for added protection, the insurance can be upgraded with optional extended packages. This shared liability insurance is meant to protect both sides and help avoid costly regress claims — which is why we highly recommend taking full advantage of it.

Last-minute cancellations are strongly discouraged and may lead to serious consequences. If a host cancels shortly before the agreed stay, SWAPP reserves the right to suspend or ban their account. In addition, a penalty fee — equal to the value of the exchange — may be applied.

If a guest cancels less than 7 days before check-in, penalty fees may be charged to their account. If these fees result in a negative balance that is not resolved, SWAPP may suspend the account and initiate recovery procedures.

However, if both parties mutually agree to cancel, and the situation is handled with mutual respect, no penalties will apply — the platform does not interfere in such cases.

In any situation involving cancellations or disputes, we encourage users to contact support immediately. If a guest loses their reservation due to a host’s cancellation, our team will assist in finding an alternative property with similar parameters and location.
